Media: EE Times on Why Tablets aren't Taking Off (28 Jun 2004)
Tablets are not being taken up. In an interview with Acer, a leader in PC tablet technology, EE Times heard the company blame a lack of applications to drive adoption and the need to shrink the price premium tablets now command over standard notebook PCs. To accelerate this process, Acer hinted it might move away from the high cost digitised screens which enable the PC to sense input from a stylus.
